Photo Safaris - Costa Rica 2025
Bill Gozansky will be offering photographic safaris to the La Laguna del Lagarto Lodge in 2025. In a private or small group setting, learn field techniques of professional wildlife photography while exploring the amazing biodiversity of this northern Costa Rican rainforest.
Designed to suit photographers of all levels, the photo safaris will enhance your photographic skills and introduce you to field techniques focused on capturing the flora and fauna of this remote tropical rainforest. There are great opportunities to photograph a variety of tropical bird species, such as: yellow-throated toucans, keel-billed toucans, collared aracari, and many varieties of honeycreepers and hummingbirds. Additionally, we will focus on numerous species of reptiles and amphibians, ranging from the larger nocturnal caiman to tiny poison dart frogs that we will encounter along the rainforest trails. Opportunities also exist to photograph the more elusive mammals of the rainforest, such as spider monkeys, coati and nectar-feeding bats. In an environment with such rich diversity as the Lagarto Lodge, you never know what we might encounter along the rainforest trails or in the nearby creeks and lagoons.
Your photo safari actually begins well before you board your plane to Costa Rica. Bill will personally email you to discuss your photographic goals, equipment resources and knowledge of photography to help ensure that your photo safari is optimally structured to target the subject matter that interests you the most. It is our hope that the photo safari will not only enable you to capture stunning images from Costa Rica, but will also provide you with an incredible experience of a lifetime.
